Magic Eye pictures and Mormonism.

Remember the Magic Eye picture craze of the '90s? You stare cross-eyed at an abstract pattern and, just as a headache begins, you see a hidden picture. But the picture's weren't very interesting—certainly not worth the effort to see them, and certainly not worth buying.

I think it's a good metaphor for Mormonism.

Another thing they have in common

for me, anyway, is that no matter how hard I tried I could never 'get' it! And they both induced headaches.
