Watched an old episode of "The Mentalist" last night. When accused of stealing jewelry from the murder victim, the character scoffed and replied, "She dressed like a Mormon call girl".

I'm having difficulty picturing how a Mormon call girl would dress. Pioneer dress with "do me" pumps? What?

Maybe she had a really blingy CTR ring?

Now THAT is ROTFLMAO material, bwaa haa haa.

Don't forget the BRIGHT RED ribbon in the hair. If she wasn't a call girl it would have been a pastel blue or green.

BTW "THE Mentalist" usually reruns on CBS Thursday nights. Which eposide was it? Could you describe the plot line? I gotta see this line said for myself to get its full impact and laugh.

I have Direct TV and the early, early episodes run on Wednesday on TNT. The wife of a wealthy man is found shot to death in a villa at a luxury spa. One suspect is the thoroughly repulsive gigolo who hits on every woman in sight. Jane dresses Cho up as a "player" to lure the killer into a trap.

Maybe the writers were trying to be witty, or funny, by saying something incongruous (and as political liberals, reminding us how absurd and frumpy and puritanical Mormons are), but instead just showing ignorance, not knowing how contradictory or meaningless the idea of being "dressed like a Mormon call girl" is. Call girls bring to mind someone who dresses immodestly or very sexily and glamorously (a plain dressed call girl would make the whole reference pointless).

"She dressed like an Amish call girl." So instead of a white bonnet she wore a red one? Or maybe she wore no bonnet at all! Or she wore a bit of vain embroidery on her long, cotton skirt. Sort of a funny thought, but difficult to imagine as a realistic possibility.

...that there was something contradictory about the way the woman was dressed, the same way there would be something out of place about a nun with fashion model makeup.

The young male RM crowd would consider her The Hottest Thing on the Planet. Pure (maybe), nonthreatening and sexy.

If you google her, you can see her nude!!! And, she's Canadian!!!!!!
