Don't you think it's strange that they keep building more temples in Utah while moaning that temple attendance is down?
I don't think they are for baptizing the dead and weddings. Those uber Mormon faithful dozens can haul their obsequious behinds to the Provo temple and there will be vacant seats. No, I suspect the real reason for the temple building is:
The temples are designed to be distribution centers for the wards as the Tribulation is approaching. As we all know, distribution is the secret of survival when the grid goes down and all your texting shortcuts won't buy you a Dixie cup of water.
In support of my theory, notice that they all look like fortresses. This is not because Satan's forces hate us (like we've been told) and we fear religious persecution, but rather we are hoarding up food and guns to "perteck r libertees." When I lived in Logan, they remodeled the Logan temple. The scuttlebut from the time was that it was built on a hill all right, but the hill had huge tanks in it. What for? Baptismal water in case of drought?
The contractors who did the work said they were gas tanks, but maybe some of you current residents in Cache Valley can shed some light on that.
The Bishops Storehouses are too obviously full of food and there are not enough of them. They will be raided and emptied by the Tattooed people and Smokers immediately, so they need a fort-like structure that's local. See any other candidates being constructed? I rest my case.
It's like the White House on steroids, or going into "Transformer" mode and having a big thing erecting and popping out of its top. Most morgbots will love it--because they know they are expected to love it. They may even glue a picture of it on one of their testimony gloves to remind themselves to bear testimony of how much they love it.
It isn't complete yet, but it is a MONSTROSITY. Brigham City is quite a small town and it looks out of place. It dwarfs the tabernacle, which is across the street. It is on way too small of a lot (where an elementary school used to be).
