And if you've ever been to a site for amateur porn, it seems 55% of hotel guests are MAKING porn.

There is so much out there for free, I don't know why they would want to pay for it!

i used to live in hotels(300 nites/yr) and Marriott was my top prefernce...great rewards.... and i watched that "porn" like maybe once.....it wasnt porn to me...so it was not worth it.... maybe it has changed in the 20 years i have not trveled for business....so i am surprised it is so popular...is it now "real porn"??? or just that "soft" porn.... anyway i just thought that it was a high # of people tuning in..... just sayin!

I travel too and while they do offer it on hotel TV most hotels offer free high-speed wireless, so I just don't get how 55 percent of guests use the pay service. Maybe it's the novelty of it and you don't want it to appear on your home cable or satellite bill. It seems like a high number to me too.

Not that I watch porn all the time while traveling, but hey it's out there and you can get just about anything that flips your knickers for free.

They check it out, see it's pretty lame, and turn it off. Well, now they know it's a waste.

Marriott Corp said "the recent decision was based on economics and technology". It is always economics, money, money, money. JW Marriott was release Saturday as an Area Seventy - is this a precursor to something better?

I remember when JW Marriott discussed with us during an EQ meeting that he decided to stop having the members of the stake drive to the Churches' Thurmont Md farm to plant and harvest. His reasoning was that it has too expensive for members and it took too much time away from time with families. I thought that was cool. He has also been very generous to the YSA.

Providing free internet connections to guests has probably had a big impact on the amount of people willing to pay to watch it on the TV.
