It's amazing how that number never changes. There are 14 million members. No more no less, since I've been a member. Interesting.

What a crock. Mormonism is so totally irrelevant I'd be surprised if even a quarter of that were active tithe payers.

I agree with goldenrule, that the true number is about 1/4 of what they claim. All of us know quite a few Mormons who are inactive, jack Mormon, name-only Mormons, or whatever they want to call it. We also know plenty of Mormons who have left the church, but were granted only name-removal from the rolls. We know all of the above are still counted as members.

All of the above are counted until they are 110 years old--WTF?

Probably infants who are blessed and are not yet baptized are counted, too.
