Mormon-owned store with Prop 8 ties opens to controversy in pro-gay neighborhood

A health food store, Lassen's, owned by the TBM Lassen family who were major contributers to Prop H8, has taken over an earlier health food store which closed in this strongly pro-LGBT neighborhood in LA. Lassen's niece, in typical whining Mormon fashion, pulls out the persecution card, claiming that the pro-gay supporters are "mean", it's a 'moral issue', blah blah blah same old bullsh*t. They still don't get it; 3 years on, and their rep is as bad as ever, if not worse.

It's why I've gone out of my way not to shop at Lassen's anymore.

And I've let them know why, too. Free speech is great, but however "free" it is, there is a price to be paid for it. If you aren't prepared to pay that price, then you really don't have free speech, do you?

Interesting with Mormons that it's a "moral" issue when they cry abomination.

But anyone who criticizes/protests them - MUST be a "bigot."

Because it couldn't possibly be a moral issue.

Only Mormons have morals. Right?

Someone needs to broadcast fliers around the area to let the residents know that the enemy has infiltrated. The f-ing nerve of them to set up shop (well, buy out the shop) and think that gays are going to be happy to see them.

If I lived there I would not give them one any of my money.
