but was discontinued. Mormonism was following standard church practices by having accountability. Reporting of finances was a given. Then, it changed. Secrecy and no accountability became the norm (and we're above any questions).
I belong to a Protestant Church now-they post paper and electronic accounting of every dollar (actually penny) line by line--even the coffee that is available for pre/post services. How refreshing! Accountability to members!
