You can forget about Zarahemla but it does remind me of the plot from "Kings of the Sun" (1963)

where advanced Central American Mesoamericans flee to the Gulf Coast after losing a war and found a new city. Not too bad if you like sword-and-sandal "B" movies. Lots of scenes of Yul Brenner running around with no shirt on...

Still not in the right time

period. BofM ends 400 years AD. That would mean that the site would have been constructed by the lamanites who were described as being idolatrous and lazy.
