Video in question:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=73jY8xH_vhc&feature=share

Amy: That story doesn't make any sense

Cousin: what are you confused about?

Amy: A poor family can't go to the temple, but they have enough money to send the dad and one son 3000 miles away? on farming money? Does not compute.

Cousin: They couldn't afford to bring their whole family to the temple, the only job that was available for him was 3000 miles away. It took him 4 years, away from his family, so that he could raise enough to take them all the temple. It was quite a sacrifice.

Amy: But how did he get enough money for TWO people to travel 3000 miles away on a farmers budget? It doesn't make any sense

Amy: moving requires money. Money that they obviously did not have

Can't wait to hear the stupid response. "OMG ITS SO REAL!!!!!"

I don't understand why people can't see how awful this is. The sacrifices that are asked of people in order to be considered good Mormons is appalling. This is almost as bad as the guy paying tithing with his gold fillings.

If after I made all that sacrifice, and I then found out the temple ceremony involved getting filled up by oldsters, while performing a ripped off version of the masonic ceremony, I would have left the church.
