That 8 out of the orginal members of the quoarum of the 12 were excommunicated? I did not.... I find that an interesting statistic.

Yes. Many of them struggled with Joseph sending priesthood leaders on missions to suffer hardships and sacrifices while he screwed their wives

"as the Lord hath commanded me lest I be stricken with a flaming sword which would be all your fault that such a man as I should be taken from this world prematurely. Mmmm. Could you help me with my zipper?"

OK, it's not a direct quote but close enough.

I think Joesph did it for more reasons than their being unhappy with his behaviour. I think he also did it to create a structure where he would be on top, as the only founder, with complete control. I think it was also an insurance plan of sorts to ensure that any leaks of his dirty personal or business dealings looked like ramblings from an unhappy ex-member. No matter his thinking it worked.

The early history of the Mormon Church is fascinating. It amazes me that anyone can stay Mormon when they find out the actual history of the church. It really irritates me that I went along for so many years without knowing the actual history of the church (having been born and raised). My bad!!!

They knowingly infected you with hyperbole and Amway sales techniques, manufacturing fear of being separated from those you love, turning that love into desire for their snake oil product:

a plastic card and some secret handshakes

You are guilty of loving and wanting to be right with God.

They are guilty of perpetrating a monstrous fraud in the footsteps of a licentious pervert who elevated himself and expressed complete disdain for the rights, trust and freedom of others.

I blame the Q15 because they full well know they are not communing with God for revelation.

The rest are victims and prisoners just like we were.

Namaste
