or can they go in the waiting room while the worthy get married?

We had to stand out in the freezing cold while my sister got married. A dispute has come up and I'm now being told that I didn't have to wait outside afterall.

Is there any official mo material on this?

Not all the temples have waiting rooms, I think. I've only been to two, and I don't think the one in Mesa has one. I've always been stuck outside, but in Provo(?) they did have one. Given the weather, if there was one, I imagine someone would have let you know.

If the temple is equipped with a waiting room with the only entrance being before the card-checking counters, and I think most temples are, then yes everyone can wait in there. I've spent time in waiting rooms with babies, etc...

I've had two children marry in the last two months. One in the local temple and one across the country in a temple on the East Coast. I didn't wait outside or in the "penalty box" becasue I refused to attend them both.

My wife and children were fine with my not being there. It had been discussed and considered and we all ended up on the same page. I politely told my children that it would be rude to "crash" a wedding. If I'm not invited then I'm not invited.
