I just happened to be browsing mormon scholars testify and found the "testimony" of John M Butler-the same John Butler who the Neal Maxwell Institute likes to quote in DNA issues and the Book of Mormon. mormonscholarstestify.org/1664/john-m-butler. Bishop Butler just happens to be a famous author about some subjects that the TSCC must think a bit troubling. ebookstore.sony.com/ebook/john-m-butler/this-gay-utopia/. Any thoughts anyone? Have I missed something I should of read in the past?

Since John Butler, famous mopologist for DNA and the Book of Mormon, appears to still be Mormon in spite of writing "homo-erotic" literature there should be some follow up questions:
1) Did the Church choose not to discipline Dr. Butler in exchange for his testimony in favor of the Book of Mormon?
2) Can BYU take away Dr. Butler's degree in chemistry for clearly engaging in behavior against the honor code?
3) Does the Church or it's apologetics groups publish testimonies from individuals who are in clear violation of the Church and it's practices?
4) Why do the apologetics publish that Simon Southerton was disciplined by the Church, but do not indicate the same with Dr. Butler? and what is particularly troublesome is that Dr. Butler printed Simon Southerton's disciplinary status on a slide as part of his presentation at the Washington D.C. temple in 2007.
5) What in the hell was Dr. Butler doing at the Washington D.C. temple anyway and why was he a Bishop?
6) Why doesn't Dr. Butler list his Bachelor's degree from BYU on his author bio sheet in selling his particular form of literature?
7) Why doesn't the Provo Daily Herald proudly announce to the world that the famous BYU graduate Dr. Butler is an up and coming author in the world of "homo-erotic" literature?
8) Is the Church only willing to use homosexuals for their own benfit when they say something they agree with,
and shun and excommunicate when they serve no purpose?
9) Does the Neal Maxwell Institute regularly keep articles from authors who should face church discipline?
10) And finally can BYU students write the same kind of books and still be members in good standing?
