Anyone in Utah County have more information on this? It seems strange that Utah police and prosecutors are not following up on obvious cases.

They could still be trying to build a case. Remember, there is a difference between having a really good idea that someone is guilty, and being able to prove it in court.

The legal advisor who was interviewed said that there was more evidence in this case than there was in the Lacy Peterson case, and that guy was convicted and now sitting on Death Row.

This was actually on 20/20 this last friday, the story of this "doctor" (he is not really a medical doctor, it turns out) in Utah County.

All the guy needs to do is to profess that he is a doctor every day. Eventually, he will be one. /sarcasm

But how did a guy with several felony convictions get into both a US law school and US med school? Then work at both at a hospital, university clinic and a Sunday school?

Don't they do mandatory pre (and follow up post) employment and/or retroactive background checks for all staff?

Or did he furnish fake background check/ACT 33 and 34s?

I worked at 2 universities, 1 hospital, 1 clinic and in 2 diff doctor's offices with privileges at local hospitals---and had to have that and fingerprints, plus NCIC, too. These were state/land grant, not private schools/universities, but still.
