And I was in a rage........and have to vent now.

Basically, this is a female TBM who is about to marry in the temple by the end of this year.

She emailed me today and told me about what she "feels" about the whole political debate on "Chick-fil-A vs Boston."

A few things she mentioned in the email are:

1. Like the Profits and Sears and Renovators have said, in both "Proclamation of Family," gender was determined in pre-existence and it is a grave sin to want to reverse that. (WTF?)

2. Homosexuality (or bisexuality or any type of sexuality other than heterosexuality) is a mental addiction, just like alcoholism. If a person is addicted to any form of sexuality other than heterosexuality, it is that person's responsibility to "repent" of that sin and return to the "strait and narrow path" instead of whining, screaming, and asking for special rights. (WTF?)

3. Even if scientists prove the existence of "gay gene," it still cannot justify homosexuality because some scientists are close to proving that alchohol/drug addiction can be hereditary as well. If we can't legalize alchoholism or drug addiction, then we can't legal homosexuality, either. (WTF?)

I basically blocked her without even bothering to waste on my time on a reply.

I had a very dear friend (TBM, mind you, and extremely gentle and non-judgmental) who was gay and passed away several years ago. So, to me, to call that friend of mine something "an addict" is just...NOT acceptable.

I would politely tell her just that and then tell her that you don't want to be included in anymore emails of that sort..

I think you did the right thing. You will never change her mind and she has it made up. I feel bad for people who will hate others because they are "supposed" to.

It would be tempting to send her a *very* graphic reply warning her about the dangers of sex addiction. After all, you are a concerned friend and she's about to be married and all. lol

Your friend can't make a logical argument, that's for sure.

THat is basically the only response a sentient person can have to the sort of trash that person sent you.

Is sex addiction the main driving force behind having multiple partners?
Is having multiple partners immoral if it is sanctioned by the clergy?
If having multiple partners is called a commandment by God,can you righteously speak against it?
If having multiple sex partners is something to come in the millenium, are you sinning when you wait for that blessed day?
