About 30 minutes ago, the local bishop stopped by to confirm that I wanted my name removed. Very short conversation, just a minute or two long, making sure I was who I said and that I wanted it done. Only took them two months to get around to it. Hooray!

Heh, no...he didn't ask for photo ID, but I had previously sent him a message on Facebook, so if he happened to actually read that he knows what I look like.

Sure, I could have been faking it, but it would be kind of silly for me to go through all the trouble to create a fake Facebook site, arrange to be at a specific address and submit a resignation to the church for someone who wasn't me.
