I just picked it up from the free book rack at the library. Is it worth reading?

I liked it. The book is much better than the Lifetime movie. I couldn't get through that, but the book was good.

Thanks Bona Dea, I have started it and it looks interesting. Lifetime movies are generally pretty dreadful and do not compare to the book.

I read it, and saw the movie as well (or some of it). I agree the book is good and well worth the read. The movie, not so much.

Forget the contemporary story - not very good or believable.

The historical parts are great...

Definitely worth reading. It mainly focuses on her experiences with polygamy (her mother's and her own), but the more shocking part to me was the part about blood atonement. Scary stuff.
