Justrob & I are doing a mountain bike ride and you are welcome to come along if you want.

Details:

This is a beginner ride for a complete novice to off-road mountain biking. We will be going on a dirt trail. However this trail is very easy - it is flat and not difficult. I took a very overweight, very out of shape friend on this a while ago and he did OK - he was tired, but he made it fine.

Meet at the parking lot at the mouth of Provo canyon at 12:05 on Tuesday, September 24 - lunch time. If anyone is interested let me know so we know to watch for you.

We will probably ride for about 1 hour. The whole thing should take about 1 1/2 hours - including driving up and back to/from the trail.

It will be beautiful. The fall colors will be perfect. I've seen deer and turkeys on this trail before.

If you are interested but don't have a bike, or a bike in working order, I have extras that you can borrow.

After deciding to start riding a bike again after a few years of not doing so, I have just pulled my bike out of storage (literally yesterday) and I'm about to take it in for a tune-up.

I'm working on what is supposed to be my day off today. If mgmt will let me, I'd like to try and take Tuesday off as a comp and join you as well.

Awesome if you make it - that would make 3 of us huge nerds on bikes. It could be epically pathetic :)

I could maybe possibly make it. I will confirm closer to Tuesday. But my bike is a cruiser so I may need to borrow one. But I'm little - barely 5 feet.

Jong - You could potentially get away with a cruiser, but I have a bike that would be perfect for you. So let me know if you are coming and I'll bring it along.

Do you have a little red wagon, bc?

I have a kid's bike trailer. We could try to stuff you in it and see what happens, lol.

Even if this trail is too beginner for your tastes it connects in with a whole bunch of awesome singletrack that I can give you an overview of.

So this is the parking lot right below the Chevron/Subway at the mouth of Provo canyon.

I will be there in a beat up 96 green/turquoise Toyota Corolla. I have a red Fezzari mountain bike. Between the two I should be easy to spot.

We will plan to leave the parking lot at 12:05 unless there is someone I know for sure is coming that isn't there yet.

If there is anyone coming who hasn't told me note that I will be driving a White Toyota Sienna, not a Corolla. (My daughter took the Corolla to school this morning before I could stop her.)

So far I believe there are 3 of us.

I wish I could come, but too many meetings this afternoon.

My class schedule is all over the place, so the best times for me are monday after 11am, and friday after 10am, but I can't do friday next week as my fam is coming up to hangout. So monday perhaps?
