Okay, so I'm in my mid-40s, in a desk job, and I brew my own beer (and drink a fair amount of it), and enjoy good food.

So, instead of the whipcord 189 lbs I was when I was in the Army, I was tipping the scales at 218 in mid-July of this year, and pretty much resigned to it.

But following Mrs. Hela's example (through strict diet and personal training she lost 42 lbs in 6 months) I started sessions with a personal trainer.

In those 2 months, I've gone from 218 to 201. I never thought I might again see the double-century mark from the right side, but it's a real possibility! But more important than the numbers is the fact that I'm wearing pants I haven't fit in for at least 6 years - and even then they weren't comfortable - my dress shirts are loose in the torso and tight in the shoulders, and my man-boobs are GONE! In fact, today I'm wearing a fitted shirt I received for my birthday a few days ago, and I DON'T look like a fat tub o' guts!

Can you tell I'm excited???

Truth be told, I also did this because Mrs. Hela was going to get way too hot to stay with someone who looked like I did. ;-)

I can see how that would've been quite the incentive. Especially since she is so quick to disrobe after she comes home! ;)

She loves nudity and sex too much.

Then there's her whole bisexual thing...

That doesn't sound like a problem!
(But I'm sure it is in reality, good luck with dealing with that type of anguish. Not sure I could deal with it)

That is tremendous!

What routines did the trainer put you through?

But he's added some new and interesting wrinkles.

I've also continued the rather extensive cardio that I was doing before the trainer.

Incidentally, my trainer says, "Muscle confusion isn't a thing. It doesn't exist, it's just a marketing tool."

Good for you! This is awesome progress. Keep up the great work. I bet Mrs. Hela would like to keep you around a lot longer. And, good for her, too!!!

And she's still getting smaller. And I was joking about her not keeping me around. I've never met anyone more loyal.

I'm trying to convince myself to do the same thing (I'm about 215)
I did go biking with bc today though, so I'll just have to keep that up :)

Congratulations!

I went from 220 to 180 over about 10 months using certain exercise programs, changing my eating habits, and just being healthier. Feel wonderful.

I know how hard it is, so Congrats again.

I am excited for you. I have had a few friends drop weight recently. It's like the universe it telling me something.

Actually, a buddy told me tonight how he lost 90 lbs. I need to lose about 50 (which I've lost 2x and gained back).

Keep up the good work!
