Due to D&C 132 reasons the FLDS has an even higher productive system in place to organically grow their numbers in order to grow the kingdom of Warren Jeffs. Nevertheless in the amnesia-ridden LDS world of "we haven't done that since 1890" and "we have nothing to do with that" they still can have a programme built-in that'll keep organic growth happening. Just visit any grocery store on Saturday in Utah County to hear/see the howls of young human toddlers and you'll see what I mean.

However with young men going at age 19 and young women at age 21 this is helping contribute to delays in the system of encouraging organic growth. In the FLDS world it doesn't matter much from an animal husbandry POV on when then men get tied in as in that system because you only need a few sperm donors per hundred women as long as they're spreading their seed. What matters is to get the young heifers started young and productively producing offspring for about 3 decades of pregnancies. In the FLDS world there's a surplus of men so you work them hard and then kick out the less-wanted ones and let them be Lost Boys once their productivity goes down.

In the monogamous LDS world you got to get both parts of the equation on-board with their role in producing calves to keep organic growth going. And this new change is going to help this move forward, especially in light of the fact that so many RM's are delaying marriage and leaving the church. I expect to see more emphasis on the mission being about keeping the youth tied in to the church and not on producing converts. The push for converts will still be there but only as a motivation tool towards getting the mishies better tied in emotionally to the church.
