My daughter came home from high school on Friday laughing. In one of her classes, a Mormon boy was boasting very proudly about how he was going on a mission, going to BYU, etc. etc. Some of the Mormon girls were oohing and awing over him.

At the end of class, he and another girl were caught by the teacher in a lie. THey'd forged notes for each other to skip the "advisory period" for kids who behind in their schoolwork.

THey begged and begged the teacher to let it go just this once. "We'll never do it again," they begged.

The teacher sent them both to the office. The Goth girls burst out laughing when the two Mormon kids were called down to the office.

My kids chuckled over this for some time.

Heh! Lyin' fer th' Lard (and your fellow Mormon) just ain't as easy as it used to be.

What odd things to brag about.

Most girls at my high school cared about what car the kids had, not a damn mission.

They are learning quicker nowadays.
