I see no difference between TSCC and any other church that requires "the church" for salvation. The process requiring a priesthood leader for worthiness into heaven is a form of control. Forgiveness in the NT involved only the Savior not the leaders of the church. If one is a true Christian, then they must believe that Christ is still alive. Thus all that is required for forgiveness is to approach Him for forgiveness, not another human. I think it is weird to have closed door worthiness interviews with members of the church.

True repentance does not require you confess your sins to the local insurance rep. It also does not require his forgiveness.

It sure can be entertaining when he thinks that's how it should be. The guy is crazy in the head.

I'll take it 1 step further.

I see very little difference between Mormonism any religion that claims an after-life.

If there is an after-life, and you learn about it through church X, they than have *some* claim over it (criteria for entry, what you can do there, etc...).

The entire concept of an after-life is rooted in exerting control.

Some church may say "Our church isn't required. Anyone can get there... as long as they do X, Y, & Z." But the mere fact that they have a criteria & they are the ones teaching it means that they are implicitly required for salvation.

Your problem is that you are not considering the simplicity of the atonement and the forgiveness of sins.

We must forgive others - as humans we have this capacity and are commanded to do so.

God cannot forgive. Unless he kills his perfect son first.

Jesus not God judges us for our sins.

Jesus died so we didn't need to pay the price for our sins.

We need to pay the price for our sins as part of the repentance process.

We are responsible for our own sins.

God curses posterity for the sins of the parents - at least 4 generations.

In the case of skin color, God curses posterity for the sins of their parents indefinitely. The American Indians who genetically are not descendents of Lamanites were having the curse removed and becoming a white & delight-some people in the 70s, but it didn't take.

We will be relegated to a lower kingdom of glory for eternity based on our works and sins - the atonement's application to placement in the 3 degrees of glory is undefined. You are forever relegated to your kingdom of glory and can never change.

God's Eternal punishment is just a fancy word that it's God's punishment - it doesn't mean forever.

God is so loving and forgiving.

God will never again visit any of his children unless they qualify for the Celestial kingdom.

Only God can judge and forgive sin.

The bishop judges your for your sins. The church punishes you for sin as part of the repentance process.

Authoritarianism!

How many levels of church authorities are there? At least 6 or 7 I can name with out even thinking about it. But, probably more.

Look at Catholics, they have their levels, same with Muslims, same with any organized religion.

If Christ existed, we know it was him and his father. DONE!

Religion is those smart enough to build empires off the ignorance and earnings of the masses.

Mormonism is just one more example.
