.. . meaning this weekend and publicly. He asked me to keep it confidential until he made his own announcement, which I did.
David said he was tired of it all.
Thanks to all those who have helped Brave Dave, who have provided him the vocal support and necessary platforms for him to make his stand and to take his life into his own hands.
It's been a challenging road for him but he has shown personal courage and resolve, something that the Mormon Church doesn't get and doesn't respect. The Mormon Cult does not deserve David Twede.
We respect and appreciate you, David!.
You deserve your freedom!
Congratulations for making this decision based on your own choices and on your own terms!
Bravo!!!

wow...I wondered if he was going to resign during this "postponement". If he didn't I figured they would try to ex him just before the election as most media would be more concerned with the election and then the holidays and the church wouldn't have to deal with as much publicity. By resigning he took away their game piece for trying to get MT taken down. It's a shame that anyone has to go through so much to find or even present the truth. That right there screams cult. You swear to give your life for the church but they don't tell you the truth about themselves. SMH
Thanks all! It is a big relief. And thanks to Steve Benson for promoting all the events. To Sue Emmett & the conference board for giving me the moment at the conf to do that. Biggest thanks to the MT founder, editors, contributors. You know who you are.
Congratulations David! I know this was a difficult choice, but I respect your courage and determination. I was an active supporter on The Daily Beast and wish you well on your new journey. If I can be of any help during your transition, please connect.
