How to approach...

I am taking the local mishies out to lunch on Friday...

I gave them a copy of the King Follet Discourse, (as I reported last week, they had never heard of it).

They sent me an email that they had it and promised they would read it.

Assuming they do read it and they aren't lying through their teeth...

I see this as a huge opportunity - bizarre, BS, sourced from JS, himself. I am not sure how to approach this...

Any suggestions...

The senior comp seems reasonably intelligent. The junior comp just kind of sits there, smiles and seems kind of out if it. Maybe the junior comp is new...

I can't imagine getting sent to a town of 500 people, 499 of which are hostile to the morg, would his dream for the 'best two years of his life.'

I'd show them Hinckley's waffling on whether God was once a
man. He did it to the San Francisco Chronicle and to TIME
magazine as well as other places.

However the relevant passages from the King Follett Discourse
are regularly quoted in Church Manuals. It seems there's one
view of Mormon Doctrine for the public and another for the
members.
