The presenter tells us that the documentary was 10 years old and made by someone called Desmond Clayton. Also that the church's attitude towards black people had changed meanwhile. Thus, the documentary can't have been shown earlier than in 1978 and not have been made earlier than in 1968.

Probably from the early 1970s, the film gives the number of members as approx. 3 million and also mentions that polygamy was abolished 75 years before.

Almost makes you want to join, doesn't it? LOL
The morg has sure shifted shape since those halcyon days when
the church still claimed to be there to help members, the bishop worried about a member who lost his job, and directed the RS president to go to their house and take a food order.

Of course, it also shows Harald B. Lee at the pulpit, stating that people and nations are NOT to use birth control - no matter how poor they are. He promises them the whirlwind if they do,claiming God will not be mocked.
