A lot of Mormons would be too dense to get the humor/reprimand in that announcement. Especially the sort of people who let their kids run wild in any store. Personally, I've never thought it was funny when kids have to be the parents for their irresponsible parents but whole TV series have been successful on that premise. It always just made me sad for the kids in question.
