If it is preparaed correctly POstum is a delicious cereal based hot drink. It stands alone and in no way should be confused as a substitute for coffee. (My opinion. I am 77yrs old and entitled to an opinion)

My nevermo Gran loved Postum. She drank it when she lived in Canada.

I thought that was a stiff price to pay for barley, etc.

There was an entire section devoted to it. I must say that somebody is making some money on this item.

It always gave my father gas. He preferred coffee.

Why not just find a substitute to Joseph Smith´s cult altogether?

Postum is delicious?????
I can't gag it down. When I read on this board, several years ago that Postum was going off the market, my DH rushed out and went to all the local stores (within a 60 mile radius) and bought all the Postum they had. Because they were on close-out, he only paid a dollar or 2 for each. We have enough to last as long as he lives. It was quite a bargan if you don't count the fuel it took to round them up.

I have to admit it was better than Caro or Barley Cup. But then, almost anything is better than Barley Cup! >:oO.....|

Actually, the health benefits of tea and coffee are such that not drinking them may cost you your life. I am referring to the fact that it reduces one fatal type of prostate cancer up to 80%, may reduce adult onset diabetes up to 50%, reduce depression, permit you to drive more safely, and delay Alzheimers. I don't know of any kosher rule which actually harms you as does the WoW.
