Since the mall is built ..perhaps their next tscc commercial venture could be a theme park, please add your idea

Better include a restaurant called "The Great and Spacious Building" It'll be the only place in the park where alcohol is served and you can jeer at the other park goers from the patio seating.

Wikipedia just says that Lagoon is privately owned, but not by who. Several sites claim it is "family owned," so take that for what you will.

It is family owned but I don't believe they are active LDS. I used to work with a guy in Salt Lake who was a member of the family. He wasn't LDS and would get us free tickets.

As a former submariner I enjoyed taking my kids through the submarine ride at Disneyland. (I think it is now gone.)

For the mormon theme park I suggest the "dung filled submarine" ride. It should have the ambiance of the WW II left over submarines I started on.

Yes the submarine ride is long gone. The remnants are still there (the track the sub ran on and the water), but the mermaids and Captain Nemo's sub have been taken out.

I was thinking along the lines of the 'submarines' described in the book of mormon.

My suggestion for a ride would be more along the lines of the back to the future ride at Universal City where they take you in a car and show you great clips of bom history on the screen. It would be a wonderful fairy tale.

Actually the submarines are still running but with finding nemo themes instead of 20,000 leagues

That gives me a good reason to go to Dizzeyland. I have not been for seven years. We had a 'park hopper' pass. Only way to go.

The Mists of Darkness: The ride doesn't start until you let go of the iron safety rod. Then, you wander around in complete darkness waiting for the ride to start. After a few minutes, it's over. No refunds.

Definitely something with the Jaredite Barge theme, wooden saucers being tossed to and fro in a fake ocean, fake dung and fiberglass animals being thrown about with you, with a fake glowing rock in there somewhere.

Oh. I forgot. Somewhere there has to be something involving chicken'n'backpacks, maybe some kind of snack line somewhere.
