Better include a restaurant called "The Great and Spacious Building" It'll be the only place in the park where alcohol is served and you can jeer at the other park goers from the patio seating.

It is family owned but I don't believe they are active LDS. I used to work with a guy in Salt Lake who was a member of the family. He wasn't LDS and would get us free tickets.
Yes the submarine ride is long gone. The remnants are still there (the track the sub ran on and the water), but the mermaids and Captain Nemo's sub have been taken out.
I was thinking along the lines of the 'submarines' described in the book of mormon.
My suggestion for a ride would be more along the lines of the back to the future ride at Universal City where they take you in a car and show you great clips of bom history on the screen. It would be a wonderful fairy tale.
The Tower of Bullsh!t The Sewage Flume Giant Drop (in attendance) Geriocracy Carousel Prehistoric Leadership Park The Apologist (goes around in circles) Emotional Rollercoaster The Turmoil (a sign from God) Trials and Tribulations (test your faith)
The Mists of Darkness: The ride doesn't start until you let go of the iron safety rod. Then, you wander around in complete darkness waiting for the ride to start. After a few minutes, it's over. No refunds.
The river of doom (a wild 'water' ride where the water has been replaced by beer)
and ofcourse live action figures of all the book of mormon big shots. And Joseph ofcourse..Maybe a 'get your picture taken with the prophit Joseph' oppurtunity.
Just be weary of the dude with the sword who runs around lobbing people's heads off..
Definitely something with the Jaredite Barge theme, wooden saucers being tossed to and fro in a fake ocean, fake dung and fiberglass animals being thrown about with you, with a fake glowing rock in there somewhere.
Oh. I forgot. Somewhere there has to be something involving chicken'n'backpacks, maybe some kind of snack line somewhere.
