I lived in Elmira in 1974-75. I really liked Eugene, but Elmira was a hillbilly town, and I was miserable there.

My daughter served her mission there 2008-2010. Her cousin served there too, they spent a few months together, as together as missions allow that is.

Funny story, my nephew and his companion tracted out Richard Packham and they had a discussion with him. My sister e-mailed his letters so I was able to read that he had tracted out this ex-mormon who had an anti-mormon web site and of course how whacked out he thought this guy was. Within a few days Richard Packham told the story about these two missionaries who had tracted him out. I realized it was my nephew who had visitied him. I was at the beginning of my journey at the time and throughly enjoyed hearing about this encounter. Crazy.

You can email me at jat2@elinverso.net if you'd like.

I'm 48. I grew up in the NW (in Washington) but was away for school for many years. I've been here for 16 years now.

Been in Eugene since 1974. Currently in Bountiful due to family complications, until June.
