In another thread Lori C. mentions the vineyards in Toquerville. Does anybody know the story behind all the vineyards in McElmo Canyon? If you don't know the area, it is a really cool drive from Hovenweep Canyon back into the Cortez area of Colorado. There are a bunch of really nice old farms and vinyards in the canyon, with some bed and breakfast places starting to take hold.

Anybody know the story?

A guy in Park City recently opened the first distillery in Utah since the 1870s. I read about it last week while flipping through an old issue of Sunset magazine:
