I notice so many trite pronouns from pro-mormons about how the gospel is things like: "simple", "clear", "consistent", "pure", "plain", etc. But it's just an attempt at a Jedi mind trick..."these aren't the droids you're looking for"...when actually, they are. The gospel is actually terribly confusing, contradictory, inconsistent, nebulous, poorly-defined, paradoxical, etc. It is hardly a "house of order" except in the corporate sense in which senior authorities pull rank. OK, that's order in a certain sense, but it's apart from "the gospel".
Yup, it's all plain and precious truths, until the contradictions and problems show up, then it's the Deep Doctrine "it will all be explained in the fullness of time" mumbo-jumbo.
