Ana - I WILL - in this day of technology, the mom & dad are communicating via text - what else? - and so the record is being kept.

She's at 6 cm right now, and the midwife is there, and so is Dad.

I'll be trucking the 80 miles to Orange County later today.

I can't wait!

Yep - I can't believe how happy I am about it. You know the feeling.

This is going to be a water birth for DD. First time anyone I know has done it.

I just got a text saying she's at 8cm, along with a pic of her in the tub. BIG SMILE on her face. And on mine.

Wont be long! Waterbirths are great, that's how all of mine were. Water makes the whole experience much easier on mom and baby.

Born at home in a tub of water.
All appendages present. He has a "Papa Smurf's grandpa" look right now, except red faced, not blue.
Mom and Dad are exhausted, relieved, proud & happy!

That's a big baby! My second was that big and he was sleeping through the night at 6 weeks!
