You know, he used it to angle into something stupid, and he's not a prophet my any means, but Monson actually spins a good yarn. His use of expression and tone (when he's on his game) is quite good.
I think he gets good laughs A.) in contrast to the other Borringtons and B.) he's the Prophet, we'd better laugh at his funny stuff!
In evidence of "B.)" , I once worked on a movie with Jim Carrey, and he'd goof around a bit, but instead of freindly chuckles, he got fawning guffaws. Same deal with TSM. you mileage may vary.
