For those wishing to participate in the discussions, just reply with:
1) you have the book 2) you don't have it, but have ordered it from Tom 3) you don't have it, haven't ordered it, but really want to participate 4) other option - please explain
FYI - I've communicated with Kerry Shirts, and he plans on being here for the discussions. Play nice, people ;-)

Please send a special "hello" to my nephew from The Falls, and tell him that I still love him.

Yes, you're looking at the wrong one - most of us saw it for $1400. ;-)
The author, Tom Riskas, has been sending these to us for the postage price - US $8. He had a limited quantity, so I do not know if he still has any left. You can try here: tjriskas@yahoo.com
Hi Tupperwhere. There was a thread a few weeks ago about Tom Riskas' book, Deconstructing Mormonism. It is very costly and hard to find. The author came on and offered to send interested RfMers copies from his personal trough for the cost of postage ($8.00). You can email him and if he has any left, I'm sure he'd send you one: Tom Riskas <tjriskas@yahoo.com>
I would love to participate. I found the book at a library in Ogden. I emailed Tom but he is out of copies. (bummer) I'm about 1/2 way through it. I will be buying a copy as soon as I can get one cheap.
Sounds like we're close. I think last time we had a discussion going it was decided to try here on RFM first. There is the FB group set up and ready to use *if* it's not working out here. I also have set up a complete discussion forum board empty and waiting for this book discussion if we want to take it there.
In a couple of days I'll throw some thoughts together for how we might want to proceed, that should hopefully be enough time for the straggling books to make it to their eager readers.
I'm sure we could do it again this summer if another printing makes it. Some of us are going to be slow enough with the book that we'll still be reading it through for the first time during the summer.
...if he hadn't answered yet, Tom R said, he hadn't rec'd the email that anybody else had sent.
Subsequently, I've read that he has run out of copies. He very likely did not expect the amazing outpouring of interest from this lively and curious RfM crowd when he offered to ship out his books to us (very generously, I might add).
My cheque was also in the mail (no really, it was!) and so I'm hoping there was still a copy there for me. I don't want to have to wait for months to get dug into this sure-to-be interesting big book. And especially if others have a copy and are discussing it here.
They will have to appoint a copy typist to let us in on exactly what they're talking about. Posting a chapter a day, haha. Except that will infringe on copyright. And take up a lot of space. And is likely to give the typist bilateral carpal tunnel syndrome due to the huge volume of text that I'm assuming is there.
RfM Book Club - I've been here a long while and haven't seen this before. Tom has made an impact even before he started posting here. That takes talent. :)
