So the Book of Mormon says that all of Nephi's descendants died out, however, after Jesus supposedly visited the America's the Nephites and Lamanites all joined together and became one people. This new group later split, and resumed the title of Nephite/Lamanite based on rather or not they believed in Christ. However, they had lived together for something like a couple hundred years, interbreeding with each other. So didn't Nephi's lineage live on through this new group of apostates?

Also, that means even if God changed the DNA when he cursed the Lamanites, to look like Chinese DNA, there would have still been Jewish Lamanite DNA at the time the last Nephite died.
