I was surprised, Ms. Arias took 19 minutes and: "came clean" in many ways: admitted she lied, took responsibility for her choices, said: "I'm sorry" and tried to convince the jury that she was a real person that could have a productive life in jail with illustrations of what she would like to do. It was an interesting presentation of slides, photo's etc.
The "survivor" shirt turned me off, and probably a lot of others. Just one more thing people did not believe in her testimony.
She went "off the rails" in my view talking about Travis and what I would call the "dark side" and how she wanted to avoid all of that.
She came across as clipped, cold, and unemotional in most ways.
Did she save her life?
We are waiting for the jury to make a decision.
