Exmo lawyers & Biz specialist - What does this mean?

Looks like something in Canada just slipped into law (in Alberta) concerning the LDS Corporation.

What does it mean???????

Looks like the stake is going from being a Trust to being a Corporation.

Looks like they'll have more investment options open to them as a Corp:

"The Corporation shall not be limited to investments authorized
by law for trustees, provided that the Corporation’s directors
consider the investment advisable."


...but I'm not an expert.

Is this how all stakes are structured? Why would this pass as a law? do other nonprofits try to pass laws like this one?

I'm no expert either, but I thought they were looking into investing in Canada. Perhaps a City Creek Alberta Edition Mall?
