Good companies and organizations with outstanding benefits have more applicants than they can manage.

Those which undermine and drain participants dry have trouble attracting and keeping their members. This would include the morg.

The mormon church needs to change the focus to making their programs better if they want to grow in strength.

Tracking down and harassing people won't make them like the ugly buildings and poor programs. It won't mean the kids will have more fun sitting crammed in on hard benches or sitting in little wooden chairs for what seems like hours.

Actually going to churches that work and using some of their ideas might help.

Stalking, harassment, and trespassing just makes mormons look pathetic and deperate and no one wants to be associated with an organization which sees to be crumbling from the inside out.

I worked for a horrible company a few years ago where I had to field appointments from a database of former clients. It was horrible & demeaning. I felt like I was no better than a telemarketer on a good day, & a stalker on a bad one. We had specific language & even scripts we had to use. & if we couldn't get them to make more appointments, then it was our fault. The thing was that 98% of the past client base didn't want to come back to do business with the company! Yet, the company kept having us call people every single damn day.

Their approach is quite telling really.

* less people are interested in joining = increase numbers of salespeople rather than consider why they're not interested and make changes.
* less people are interested in staying = use missionaries and ward councils to track them down and harass them.

Instead of just blaming those that leave, seek to find out why and do something about it. Good organisations listen to their customers and act accordingly.

Telemarketing (sometimes known as inside sales,[1] or telesales in the UK and Ireland) is a method of direct marketing in which a salesperson solicits prospective customers to buy products or services, either over the phone or through a subsequent face to face or Web conferencing appointment scheduled during the call. Telemarketing can also include recorded sales pitches programmed to be played over the phone via automatic dialing. Telemarketing has come under fire in recent years, being viewed as an annoyance by many.

Didn't realize that this kind of morglike harassment included face to face interaction.
