Interesting...

Type in "recovering from mormonism", and guess what link come up first?

Time's up...

Nope...this one:

http://mormon.org/beliefs/plan-of-salvation

Wonder how they made that happen?

Yep, I typed "Joseph Smith liar", and mormon.org was the first result. I wonder how much sacred tithing funds were made payable to Google for these skewed results.

I typed in "Joseph Smith liar" on Dogpile, and most of the first page results stated "Joseph Smith, Prophet or Liar?", or something similar........

If you wanna read believers' opinions on us apostates.... http://www.lds.net/forums/general-discussion/17998-recovering-mormonism.html

To quote a person named Dove.... "I actually found the site for "recovering mormons," and it is very serious in its' allegations~ Not something I would want to spend a long time studying, or in depth. Simply because of the Spirit I feel around it." That "Spirit" (he/she actually capitalized Spirit!!!) is cognitive dissonance. You're learning that the church isn't true. You don't like the truth, so you feel that mean "Spirit". Gosh. I feel that cognitive dissonance is the most used phrase when I explain stuff. It's almost like it's my ONLY explanation.

Just googled "Recovering from Mormonism" and it took me to exmormon.org.

There was an ADVERTIZEMENT at the bottom of the page: "Mormons Believe in Christ"‎ @ www.mormon.org

And that search is from Silicon Valley USA.

EDIT: Anagrammy - and this is your old stomping grounds in California.

They have billions to spend on SEO. They pay for advertising agencies, so it wouldn't surprise me if they had search engine campaigns running too.

Let's all do it. I googled "Joseph Smith sucks" and Mormon.org was the first one.

That was the second one. Look at the very top yellow box.

I'm googling from Canada and the first result I get from "Recovering from Mormonism" is exmormon.org. Depends on the location, maybe?

I'm in California and the entire first page was exmormon and anti-mormon sites.

This is a huge improvement over six months ago when I checked. That was when the big push was on for scewing the Google results.

Another Big Fail in Mormons trying to manipulate the information members receive.
