There is one group of people who have never had full membership

And LDS Inc. has never been threatened for not ordaining women to their priesthood.

Does anyone really want the priesthood? It's just a bunch of imaginary power that obligates you to serve in some of the worst callings in the church. I'm all for women being treated equal and think that the patronizing, one-dimensional way many men in the church treat their "womenfolk" is appalling. But why on earth would anyone want to have the priesthood itself?

Because magic penis power means you get to decide on budgets, rules, curriculums, punishments, you name it. Women in TSCC are wholly disenfranchised. I think OW is a cry for a voice.

Except that in the catholic church the priesthood is a paid profession. For the LDS it's about status and nothing else. Not sure how big a difference that really makes

They get to discriminate on employing women just as much as LDS Inc. gets to keep women out of their best paid positions.

achieving the priesthood is a lowly goal. Shoot for MP, Apostle. the monthly stipend is WAY better

How 'bout, instead of trying to force the priesthood upon women, we remove the false authority from the men? Wouldn't that level the playing field?

Why isn't the priesthood optional for men (and women)?

It's forced on men and denied to women. Something's wrong with that, in my opinion.
