How much hate and sadism do you suppose that there is among the upper-level members of the Mormon hierarchy?

Do you suppose that any of the members of the Fifteen are sociopaths?

I don't think classic sadism or sociopathy (is that a word).

They are exactly like Big Brother from 1984 - information must be controlled, lives must be controlled by using guilt, shaming, social control.

They think of themselves as the Elite, above the law. They must maintain order to keep the $ flowing.

It is ultimately about money, power, and control.

Let me ask a better question:

Do you suppose that any of the members of the Fifteen aren't sociopaths?

Even if they weren't born sociopaths, I think the process of blind obedience combined with ambitious ladder-climbing would have slowly killed off their consciences and their ability to have empathy for others - and by the time they reach apostle-hood, they've likely become a sociopath, IMO.

Sociopaths thrive in the business world - so it is not a stretch to think more than a few have thrived in Mormondom.

Uchtdorf "appears" to have a bit of a conscience.
