Here is the results of last year's Alabama football session. (Note I am stealing this from another facebook meme, and adapting it to our own reasons)

Alabama beat Arkansas. Arkansas then fired their coach.

Alabama went on to beat Tennessee and Tennessee then fired their coach.

A little later, Alabama went on to beat Auburn, and Auburn has since fired their coach.

Then finally Alabama beat Notre Dame, and the pope resigned.

So what would happen if Alabama played BYU?

Any result vs alabama would be considered a victory, even a 73-0 drubbing would result in TBM's weird "success by association fetish". It would become a fireside topic for Mendenhall for years to come...Remember the one time that we batted the one pass down against Alabama, it was awesome!

I am an FSU fan. They played BYU a couple of years back in Provo. I went with a BYU rabbid fan. I wore an FSU shirt. It got ugly quick. FSU took them to the woodshed. They took the 4th quarter off and it as still ugly. I was trying to be a good sport but BYU just sucked. A woman sitting behind me kept making comments about "the lord's university this and that" I finally said why dont you pray for some defense. Most people laughed, she was livid. She lingered after the game to yell in my face "It doesnt matter what the score is, BYU is The Lord's University, you will never understand that, somethings are more important that winning or losing!!!!" by the time she finished her rant she was in tears. I was trying not to laugh. I was in shock. I forget now what I said, but basically her husband had to step in and pull her away.

Of course Bronco turned it into a seminary lesson...and they continue to worship him, becuase they are humble enough to understand that FSU (or Alabama) did not really win, The Lord had a great message to teach through the loss.

It makes perfect sense. Why are you not president?

Bama would humiliate BYU. It's not even up for debate.

Just about any southeastern team would crush BYU. They are not even in the same category.

And SEC teams would put a hurting on BYU so bad, it wouldn't be funny :)

Alabama does not play junior varsity teams. So the match up would never happen.

Well, my favorite team is WHOEVER is playing Alabama, so I'd hate that to have to be BYU.

However, BYU played Alabama in 98. I remember it because it was the year after I'd moved back to Utah from Alabama. It was during Alabama's bad years in the late 90s/early 2000s. It was a nail biter and BYU lost by a touchdown. I wanted them to win so badly just because one of my old hick-town-Alabama bosses was such an obnoxious Bama fan and I hated that guy and wanted to see Mormon God's team beat Evangelical God's team. I'm sure if Alabama goes through another streak like that, they might play BYU.

May as well play Brees and company. Same results.
