I was exed in 2005.

Are bishops and stake presidents still conducting witch hunts or calling people to repentance and disciplining them through luv courts?

Not that I've seen, but I'm sure that varies by regions...

I'm curious, did you stop believing in TSCC before or after you were exed?

I stopped believing and attending nine months before I was exed for apostasy.

My parent's current bishop is moving. Right before he left he went on a little cleaning streak and called a bunch of people to repentance, which just pissed them off. I don't think he actually exed anyone. I don't think the stake president was backing him on any of this.

So... he cleaned house and left the next bishop a mess of angry, disciplined members to take care of? How convenient of him.

It's becoming harder for them to ex members. More people know their rights, or are willing to call a lawyer.

It totally depends on the particular bishop/ stake president involved. I have told "my bishop" that I don't believe in God. He had no reaction. That would probably change if I started Korihoring to others, though.

The quickest way to discipline would be to admit to them some sexual misconduct, especially if you are female.

My friend told her bishop that she didn't believe and was very angry at the church (long story) but that she would continue to attend for the "social" aspect ie..no shunning. He said ok and she received no discipline.

It's all so very arbitrary. One bishop will be a hangin' judge, the next will be a damn nice guy. And every bishop gets what he wants, because the church has to stand behind them. Mormon Co. is about the worst run business in the world.
