A TBM facebook friend shared this on my wall too. I watched it. I didn't really think much about it tbh. I thought it was weird how they correlated it with mormonism.

I thought it was interesting that my TBM friend posted it. BECAUSE she is SO mormon.
Is she worried about something? Trying to justify everything she was taught?
I don't think I'm "brainwashing" my kids by teaching them to be good people.

Someone's probably accused her of being brainwashed.

I recognize this poem! As a Latter-Day-Saint my classmate said these very words to me. My response was, as the poem stated. Who wrote the poem I will never know. Do I recognize my own words? All to well!!! Have my parents brainwashed me? Well, if they have, I personally appreciate it. As said, I learned a lot of good values being "MORMON"! John from WY, I think you know who you are, thanks for making me think about why I practice my values.

If you watched the video you will see that this teen decides to "act" and not "react" in his response to this person who contends that he is brainwashed.

If brainwashing means teaching my kids to act- instead of becoming reactionary- If brainwashing means teaching them awareness of the needs and rights of others and not just themselves I think that Brainwashing is a darned good thing.

IMHO- there are too many selfish, entitled, bullying, shallow, kids who are brought up without any sort of moral compass. This is independent of religeon. Parking yourself in a garage on Sunday isnt going to make you a Buick-anymore than sitting in a church on Sunday is going to make you holy- Brainwash our kids to think- to act- to CHOOSE. Teach them not to sink to the level of morons.

Your milage may vary-
