Do the bishops get repremanded for the amount of resignations they get in their wards? I wonder this because of the tenacity in which they persue resignees. Anyone hear of that?
Yes if too many are leaving from the ward the bishop would get heck from Church higher ups. He would be blamed for the the loss of members (i.e. why is he offending so many ward members).
Yeah, Bishops are supposed to be the "inspired stewards" of that geographical area, therefore if anything goes wrong there, well it comes back to them. Perhaps if people in your ward are leaving maybe your own worthiness should be questioned.
Because you know, despite the second article of faith we are all responsible for everyone else's "sins".

In my experience, no, not at all. (I was a bishop).
