Chiasmus talk starts just after the 50 minute mark.

I was watching this on youtube. In it Dr. Richard Carrier, who is my new hero and man crush, talks about how we know the gospels and other books of the new testament are myth.

About halfway through, he starts showing off chiasmus. Now these are not the simple one or three verses of the Book of Mormon, but complex structures that are entire chapters, sometimes entire books, long. Dr. Richard Carrier points out that real life does not function that way. People do not talk in chiasmus as part of their everyday speech, neither do complex real life stories unfold in chiasmus style. No, for that, you need the work of a creative fiction writer.

BTW, he totally pronounces the word chiasmus differently from how I have heard it pronounced in church. It's almost as if Mormons are ignorant people, who don't really know what they are talking about.
