The comments are great. But so many people ask why shouldn't gay couples have the rights and privileges that straight couples do. To anyone with any empathy it only makes sense. But I have contended for a long time that mormonism leaves people devoid of empathy for anyone who doesn't fit their mold. I know it was much harder for me to be emphatic when I had judgmentalism pounded into me all the time. They have to feel superior and entitled and in order to do that there has to be a caste system. Equality doesn't fit into that system.
