Hello All, I have a question.

The LDS church has taught that in order to become a God you have to go through mortality (2nd Estate) and prove yourself worthy of Godhood, become resurrected, etc. Their doctrine also says that Jehovah (premortal Jesus) was God the creator and created this earth before he went through mortality and this 2nd Estate. So, how could Jehovah have been a God?

For anyone who has asked a TBM or Mopologist this question, what kind of creative answers have you received to this contradiction?

Stock answer was that as the firstborn he had progressed so far in the pre-mortal life that he reached Godhood. He would then get a body during his mortal life but this was seemingly non-essential to reach that elevated status since the Holy Ghost also didn't have a body.

Of course it doesn't make any sense. In fact the whole Plan of Salvation is nonsensical when you take off the TBM blinkers and start to think about it.

The ancient answer was that we all helped create/organize many worlds in the preexistance.

The next step was the ability to have ones own spirit children.
