How many people are employed by the church?

And I mean, besides church offices in SLC. (They have offices in many countries with several employees on each and with very good salaries).
Also would like to know what is their payroll cost.
Does anyone have data on this?

Okay, I made a spreadsheet and added up the minimums and maximums.

7,615-15,935 total employees, consisting of:

671-1,437 Custodians
5,504-11,421 Religious Agencies
295-656 Family Services
1,145-2,421 Seminaries & Institutes

I don't doubt it. I remember when a bunch of IT/Information Services folks were let go a couple of years ago. I know for a fact that these folks made really good $$$. They paid market rate (for UT) to attract top talent.
