A story I just heard from someone whose TBM relative just got engaged to another TBM,

The young TBM who proposed offered his fiance as an engagement ring his melted down CTR ring to which he apparently a jewel of some type.

Would that even be worth doing, given CTR rings are about $5 a piece?

They have those fancy, expensive ctr rings now so maybe it was one of those (I hope!)

In a twisted way it kind of says that by marrying her, he is not choosing the right anymore. Just sayin.......

This is actually pretty humorous because let's face it, the concept of "Mormon romance" is a joke.

You get married in a building where none of your extended family who aren't members can't participate,

To publically announce that marriage in a dirty church gymnasium reception and one of the local ward hog troughs,

Wearing the most unsexy of clothing you'll ever wear in your life (save perhaps that backless gown they put on you for surgery at the hospital)

So is it a surprise that a marriage proposal would suck?
