Heading to SLC area last week in March for some skiing with my son. Would like some good breweries/beer recommendations. I pretty much like any beer though I'm partial to Imperial IPA's right now.

there are quite a few breweries around and the beers are served in a variety of venues or can be purchased at the grocery store/liquor store/convenience store.

Epic Brewery, Bohemian, Uinta, Squatters, Red Rocks all spring to mind immediately. Bohemian, Squatters and Red Rocks all have brew pubs. I also love The Beerhive, as it has a ton of beers available and it's downtown on Main Street. :)

I've been to the Brewvies too. That is a must do again too.

Drink a beer. Eat a burger. Drink a beer. Watch a movie. Drink a beer. Shoot some pool. Drink a beer. Repeat.

The beerhive. Haha. Gotta check that out. I've been to Squatters, Red Rock and Wasatch. Gonna try a few more, but I may end up at Wasatch while I'm in Park City. Haven't heard of Bohemian.

I think you're required by law to order food. So you're in luck!

Went to Squatters a couple of years or so ago. Thought I'd be smart and order a shot of tequila. Much to my surprise the bartender asks "what kind?" Huh?

Epic and Redrock are my two favorite breweries. They have some pretty great beers.

I love the food and beer selection at The Bayou. They have cajun food and several pages of beers listed by type and country of origin. Another great place for awesome burgers and full selection of beers and drinks is Lucky 13. Both are downtown SLC

I've heard the same about Lucky 13. Gotta give that place a try sometime.

I'm not one of those crazy bacon lovers but after eating their in-house smoked bacon at Lucky 13 I can kinda see what the hype is about.

Check out the Annex in Sugarhouse on 21st South. It's owned by Epic and has their beers + great food.

Bohemian, about 150 E 7200 S, popular brew pub featuring Czech food and beer. Run by Joe and Helen (anyone who remembers Helen's Restaurant on 9th east, same person) who immigrated from Czechoslovakia back in the Cold War days.

They have a collection of Vespas and other vintage motor scooters on site. Go figure. Good food, but be careful or you will order enough calories to stun an ox.
